He made his stage debut at the age of seven in Oliver! He was also a member of the Original Kids Theater Company and the Amabile Boys Choir. He performed in dozens of productions, including three consecutive High School Projects at the Grand Theatre, shows at Original Kids Theatre Company, summer stock and local community theatre, and a season at the Stratford Festival of Canada. He also began formal dance training and became a breakdancer and a member of the Albino Zebras crew.
