Apple has started to roll out the Amazon Prime Video App for the TV App Store. The same was being teased for quite sometime now and today, it has finally gotten official. According to the release notes, the app will have to be downloaded from the tv App store and it will work on third-generation Apple TV as well, along with the Apple TV 4K and Apple TV (fourth-generation).

Apple had first teased the launch of Amazon Prime App at WWDC earlier this year. However, post the conference, there was no official word from either of the companies about specific date of launch. Now that the official rollout has started, users should be able to download it from the app store on their supported versions of Apple TV. Also, the latest update for iOS does bring support for iPhone X resolution.

Apple had initially suggested a release date for this summer. However, after that, there were no developments on that. Later, Apple announced that September was going to be the release month of Amazon Prime App for Apple TVs, however, no specific date was mentioned. Finally, we now have an option to stream Amazon Prime Video content on Apple TVs.
