One address reaches The iBulletin: support@theibulletin.com. It is read and sorted by our editors, not a support desk, and everything below arrives there.
One inbox, and how to use it
We do not run separate department aliases. A second address would only mean a slower reply from the same small group of people, so we route by subject line instead. Start yours with the purpose in capitals: CORRECTION, TIP, PITCH, ADVERTISING or PRIVACY.
That one habit decides whether your message is handled within the hour or tomorrow morning. If something is time-sensitive, put the deadline in the subject line too. We would rather know your deadline than guess it.
Corrections and factual errors
Use CORRECTION in the subject and, if you can, quote the exact sentence you are disputing and point us at where the correct information can be checked. You do not have to be polite about it. Errors of fact are looked at the same day, usually within a couple of hours, and the fix goes on the story rather than into a quiet edit.
What happens next is set out in our corrections policy, including what we treat as a correction rather than a clarification. If a story was accurate when it published and the situation has since moved, that is an update, handled differently, with a note on what changed.
Tips, pitches and press releases
Lead with what happened and how you know it. We cover breaking news, business, technology and sport, so a filing, a document, a rota, an internal memo or a first-hand account beats a summary of a rumour. We do not publish single-source claims about identifiable people, and if we cannot use what you send we will usually say so within a week.
Press releases are read and most are not used. The ones that get through state the embargo time, name a person who can answer a follow-up, and carry a figure we can check independently. For sensitive material, send a short message before any files: say what you have and what protection you need, and we will tell you how to send it and what we can honestly promise. Do not contact us about your employer from a work account or a work device.
Advertising, partnerships and privacy requests
Commercial mail uses ADVERTISING in the subject and reaches the business side of the same small team, never the editor working on the day’s bulletins. Formats and what we refuse outright are on our advertising page. Expect a reply within two working days.
Data and privacy requests, including access, correction, deletion and objection, use PRIVACY in the subject. Our privacy policy sets out what we hold and how long a request takes, and our cookie policy covers what gets set in your browser and by whom.
What you will not find on this page
There is no street address here, because there is no public office to visit. If you need the publisher’s registered details for a legal or regulatory reason, ask by email and we will send them. Copyright complaints follow the process on our DMCA page.
We also do not point readers at social accounts as proof of who we are. The email address on this page is the only channel we can vouch for. If a message or an account claims to come from The iBulletin, forward it to us and ask.
